Up for sale is a gorgeous WWII trench art brass vase made from the casing of a large 105mm m14 type-1 shell (dated 1944) measuring approximately 14.5 inches tall and 4.25 inches in diameter. This vase is shows stipple engraving of a coat of arms for the city of Letzeburg, Luxembourg. With the date of 1946 as seen along the bottom edge of the vase this shows a crown above with drilled holes with white inserts and a couple red colored. The majority of the inserts has unfortunately fallen out over the last 80 years. The top rim is also decorated with a little flair showing notches. This is a really wonderful and rare example.
