    I just purchased this PAIR of antique W. G. Henton & Sons pewter candleholders from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The candles were produced by the Lincoln (East Midlands) English metalworks under their "Stonebow Pewter" trade name. The circa 1910-1920 pair have a strong Arts & Crafts inspired design with hexagonal stem, arched hex base and subtle ruffled candle cap. The pewter has a dark original finish which accents the hand hammered detail. The candles measure 7 ¾" high, 5 1/8" at the base diagonal and 4 ½" on the square. The bases bear the pictured stamped mark and production number "1533". Both are in very good condition with no damage and a few fine scratches. This handsome hammered candlestick pair would make a fine addition to your collection of vintage English pewter or Arts & Crafts inspired décor.
