WOULD MAKE A GREAT GIFT FOR THAT ANTIQUE LOVER!
VINTAGE CAST IRON GENEVA CRIMPING/PLEATING ROCKING HAND FLUTER...EUC FOR ITS AGE...NO BREAKS, CRACKS OR REPAIRS...SOME SOILING. This item is not dated, but after careful research, it appears to be have been made in the mid to late 1800's. A fluter was used to crimp and pleat material. The corrugated base was heated on a stove, the material placed on the base and the
handheld
rocker moved back and forth to crimp/pleat it. It was made in Geneva, IL and measures as follows: base 4 x 6 & fluter 4H x 4L x 3W. It weighs approx 5lbs. PLEASE VIEW ALL PHOTOS, AS THERE ARE NO RETURNS.
