VTG Grace Jespersen Handcrafted Metal Footed Bowl, Tray, and Ladle Signed 1937
Handcrafted, artisan metalwork by artist Grace Jespersen, this signed piece reflects the modern design aesthetic of the late 1930's -- part machine-age, part futuristic.  Pieces include footed bowl, underplate, and ladle. Not sure if the ladle really belongs but it does need a home and a sauce bowl needs a ladle!
I have been unable to find any information online about the artist other than a few photos of the same piece.  Judging from the other pieces in the estate and spelling of the artist's name I am going to make a guess it might be Scandinavian / Finnish design. I wished I knew more as it feels very artisan as its signed and dated "1937".
Bowl:  5-1/2" across, 2-1/2" high, 2-3/4" base
Underplate:  6-1/2" diameter, 1/4" inch high (slight raised bottom)
Spoon:  7-1/2" long, bowl 1-7/8" across
Pre-owned vintage condition so there are signs of wear -- but hey, its almost 100 years old -- we should all look so good!  Sold as is.  No dents, cracks, or repairs.
About the Estate
From the estate of a man with Scandinavian heritage that traveled extensively throughout Europe, North America, the Pacific Islands, and Asia. He had a keen eye for great craftsmanship, artistry, and mid-century modern design aesthetic. Pieces from his estate are in either new/never used condition or have been kept in exceptional shape. This most likely would have been a family heirloom.
