Set of 2 Vintage Stamps with Accompanying Letter
The letter that the stamps come with is from the Western Stamp Collector newspaper dated in early 1939. The stamps themselves are not from the same time period but were collected by the same lady so this is sold as a set. The letter is typed on a typewriter.
1949 Smokey Bear U.S. & State Forest Services Stamp
This stamp has no face value and has never been used. It's been kept safe with the letter for a while and so there is really no damage either. There is a vintage discoloration hue you would expect just like the paper of the letter.

It is in the same condition as the Smokey Bear stamp. It also does not have any face value on the front. It is a political stamp that says Government Spending 1/4 of Our Work Day. Time to Cut Taxes! "What hurts Business Hurts You"
