Vintage Bronze Winged Cherub Toothpick Match Holder Bald Eagle Stars Drum

Description

This is a beautiful statue of a winged cherub holding a bird with a drum on either side, one which is decorated with the American bald eagle with stars.  The material appears to be cast bronze (please see the photos) but it may be another metal and very detailed.  The entire piece measures 9 1/2" in height with the base measuring 6 1/2" across.  I am not sure if this was designed to be a match holder, toothpick holder or vases - there are 2 holes in each of the drum edges that suggests maybe the piece was made to hang?  Overall condition is excellent - there is a crack to one of the birds wings.   No cleaning or polishing has been attempted.
