Vintage 8 inch bottom diameter black tea kettle unknown manufacturer used

Vintage 8 inch bottom diameter black tea kettle unknown manufacturer.  I do not know the metal used in construction of the tea kettle. The base diameter is about 8 inches and the widest part of the tea kettle is about 10 inch in diameter and the height is about 12 inches to the top of the swivel handle.  I think there is a maker's mark inside the lid that looks like the rear end of a peacock which is depicted in the last photo. The tea kettle weighs about 7 pounds. Please look at the pictures as they are also part of the item description. Feel free to ask any questions.
