As you can see by my photos you are looking at a Hurst 4-Speed Shifter Boot & Plate Kit that was bought new many years ago and properly stored away.
This Hurst B-4 Custom Boot and Plate is NOS and has never been used or mounted in a car and is still in it's original shipping box complete with mounting hardware and instruction sheet.  This kit is a very early piece made when the company was then called Hurst Campbell and based out of Werminster, Pa.  with the instruction sheet dated 1964.
The black rubber boot is still soft & supple and has the H molded into it and measures 6 1/2" long x 5 1/4" wide.  The chrome trim ring is still bright & shiney but does have some freckling to the finish.
