    Description

You are bidding on a TERMINATOR T-800 Judgment Day 1:5 Scale Soft Vinyl Model Kit featuring the Terminator as portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was made by the Seminar Plastic Model Company of Korea.
I bought this Model Kit in Hong Kong, at a huge multi-story mall in Mong Kok back in late 1992. There were several stores selling model kits, and I got a couple from this film, along with many other kits. Later, at a convention in Los Angeles, I got to meet the Japanese man who was the sculptor of these models, and he autographed the front of the box (see photos). Unfortunately, I can't remember his name and can't read it from the signature. I kept these kits since then, always expecting to one day assemble them and have someone paint them for me. But, as time went on, it appeared it might be better to sell them to someone who might enjoy doing the assembling and painting themselves. So, it is now time to find these kits a new home.
As you can see from the photos, the Box is very colorful, with full color images of Arnold as depicted in the completed model. The Box measures 11 inches high, by 8 inches wide by 3 inches deep and has some minor wear and some tape discoloration from where scotch tape was used to seal the top and bottom flaps on the Box (see photos). There is some denting, but nothing major and no tears on the artwork images. There is a price sticker affixed to the front side above where the autograph is, and another small sticker in Korean on the other side towards the bottom left corner.
The Model Kit has all of the pieces still sealed in the original plastic bag, and also has two insert pages - one is a two-sided assembly instruction sheet (which is folded in half) and that measures 10 inches wide by 14 inches high (see photos). The second looks like it is a general "how-to" guide with tips on assembling model kits in general, and that is folded and measures almost 20 inches wide when unfolded by 4.5 inches wide (see photos). There is also a 3.5 inch by 2 inch plastic sealed tube of glue (with instructions in English which make no sense!).
Haven't seen many of these around over the years (there are some who think these kits are North Korean bootlegs), but they were all over the place when I was in Hong Kong at that time, so I would think they are legit and licensed (can't tell from the box). Either way, this is a fun and colorful piece and would look great when assembled, painted and put on display with the Box and maybe a still from the film!
And we are a non-smoking home, so there are never any bad smells connected with our items!
