Stunning Antique Egyptian Revival Bronze Box With Phenomenal Decoration! FINE!

Up for sale is a truly phenomenal antique bronze Egyptian revival oval hinged box with tremendous figural relief work decorating the entire box. The top of the box has two dome shaped amethyst stones while a little painted pottery scarab sits in the center with two figures on each side. Around the entire circumference of the box is a religious ceremonial procession of 20 individual highly detailed figures, two giraffes and four long horned cattle. Each figure, if not holding an animal, holds a platter in hand with sacrifices from unknown round objects to vases. The lower rim of the box is hand hammered and shows a truly sensational amount of detail. Dating from the 19th century once source indicated this could possibly be of French origin. Measuring approximately 5 1/8 inches wide, 2 3/4 inches tall and 3 7/8 inches deep. No signatures or stamps from manufacturer are present, underside shows a slight indent upward while the lower hammered rim shows minimal waviness as well. The scarab atop the box shows some chips and there was originally a small lip on the front of the lid to help assist opening. This box has its original patination and detail which has been preserved over the last 140+ years and has not been lost from being cleaned like other examples.
