    Description

    Beautiful Antique "Silver Crest" Decorated Bronze 10" Vase dating from the early 1900's made by the Smith Metal Arts Company. Silver Crest stamped on bottom with SM over A Co and number 3004. Has one small dent that is hardly noticeable on one side. A beautiful vase that would make a great addition to collectors of this quality art work. S&H .75
    Silver Crest was the trademark used by the Smith Metal Arts Company that was formed in 1919 by Frederick C Smith, who had been the head salesman for the Heintz Metal Arts Shop founded by Otto Heintz in 1906. After the sudden death of Mr. Heintz in 1918, Smith and some other Heintz craftsmen split away and formed this new company. Heintz Metal Art Shop continued until it succumbed to the depression in 1930.
