Rare Vtg Petite Choses Painted Iron Christmas Candleholder Gnome Elf Doorstop. Good condition. Approximately 10 7/8 in. tall and 6 1/4 in. wide at widest point. Whimsical vintage large, heavy painted metal candleholder Christmas Santa gnome figure. Featuring a portly, long bearded gnome holding a gold metal pot candle port in one arm, he has been hand decorated over some type of iron or pot metal -- sturdy and heavy enough to act as a doorstop. He weighs 3 pounds and 9 ounces. The Hawthorne tree branch that he holds is very rare. Bearing the original store tag where I, the original owner, purchased it - The Fireside located in Kansas City, Missouri on the famed Country Club Plaza. He was introduced in 1983. A couple of spots of intentional aged rubbing is seen on the figurine. Solid, sturdy and so over-the-top fun, he would be a charming addition to any holiday display, elf or gnome collection!
