    Description

    Rare and fun! This 1936 Texas Centennial doorstop evokes the wild West of a historic time. The center Texas star has the "Texas" raised lettering sitting above a scalloped moon . Embossed on the moon is a colorful textured display of a tan Longhorn bull, green prickly pear cactus , brown West Texas mountains and a blue sky. The doorstop gives a realistic pictorial of what a person typically thinks of when thinking of Texas. The star and moon are supported by an iron casting of a wooden hitching post. Rarely found !  This one was found buried in a garden patch and recently repainted.   Measures: 10" wide by 10 3/8" high.  Excellent Condition.  One recently sold at Souterby's for 00.
