This is a vintage script reproduction I’ve had in my collection for nearly 20 years.
The cover is grey and interior pages are goldenrod.
The script was written by Art Wallace and is marked Revised Final and dated June 20, 1974 on the cover and first page.
This was the second episode aired and the second one filmed. In this script, PETE BURKE was still named STAN KOVAK and URKO was named URKUS, transitioning from URSUS.
The fugitives stumble into a village led by a chimpanzee prefect, who keeps the human populace calm by gladiatorial combat. Unknowingly interrupting a practice match, Alan Virdon loses the magnetic disc that may hold the key to returning the astronauts home. Determind to recover the disc, our heroes must also come to the aid of a boy who doesn’t wish to following in his gladiator father’s footsteps and evade the gorillas.
