A MAGNIFICENT AND RARE JEWELRY BOX CASKET WITH A STUNNING PIETRA DURA (PIETRA DURE) FLORAL IMAGE ON THE TOP FROM FLORENCE ITALY DATING TO C1890.
This is just a perfect antique jewel box!  It doesn't get more lovely than this!  The delicate miniature jewel box has the most gorgeous pietra dura design of red white and aqua colored flowers done with great skill by a master craftsman.  The box itself is gilt or brass with wonderful details.  The box is lined with silk and has the jewelers name inscribed into it -"G. Ugolini, L. Novelli E Co., Firenze."  The box is from Florence, Italy and dates to c1880-1920.  It is just superb!!!
The box is in wonderful condition.  There is no damage or loss to the inlay work.  The paste stones on the front and back of the box may have been replaced.  There are no tears or losses to the silk lining.  The box is 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) long,  2 inches (5 cm) wide at the widest and 2 inches (5 cm) tall.
This is a superb original Antique jewel box, and so very hard to find in today's market!  Treat yourself or a loved one to a treasure to cherish for generations and one which will only increase in value over time!
