NICE ANTIQUE BRASS SAUCER BASE SEAMED BRASS CANDLESTICK C 1740s

Description

Very nice antique 18th century bell metal (bronze/brass) candlestick with a seamed stem.  The bobeche was applied after the stem was made.  The stem was also hand-threaded and tightens down nice and tight.  This candlestick is in a class of "saucer base" candlesticks and the base, having a high copper content, was slightly more susceptible to dents, of which it has many shallow ones.  Overall in very good condition, and it sits flat and straight.
