    Description

    Late 1800s furniture ornament, with decors typical from the period - a shell surrounded with bows and garlands of roses. Its backside is signed with the letters "N.W.". Made of solid bronze, the piece is rather heavy. No breakage. Long ago adorned a large piece of French furniture, like an armoire. Lovely antique patina; we have not polished this piece as we prefer the aged patina. Perfect in a grouping on a wall with paintings; charming above a window or door.
    Measures 14.5 inches wide and 4.75 inches tall at the center. Heavy; weighs 1.150 kg.
