VERY RARE 19-Piece Tea Set from metalsmith, Jos.Heinrich circa 1904.
Joseph Heinrich was born in Prussia in 1866 and immigrated to New York in 1895. By 1897 he had opened his own metalsmith firm in New York. He became a US citizen in 1902. His work was well designed, crafted and costly. When marked, most pieces will bear the name of the high-end retailer rather than his own. Retailers included Shreve & Co.; Black, Starr & Frost; Tiffany & Co.; Gorham; J. E. Caldwell & Co; Corber & Oliver; Marsellus & Pitt; Hammersmith & Field, San Francisco; John Frick, New York. Some of his more decorative sets have sold at auction for over 0K.

This is an amazing set so please feel free to ask questions. It has been a part of a private family collection for many years.
CONDITION: I have not attempted to clean this although the tray does look like someone tried to clean it a while ago. I will leave the cleaning, if desired, to you
the buyer. There are scratches on the tray and on the pieces as would be expected by normal use for an item of this age and type. Four of the porcelain cups are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. One has a hairline crack down the side and another has a chip at the top with a hairline crack that goes down the side to the bottom.
