Description
From my personal collection comes this dinner plate used at the Cleveland Hotel, on Cleveland Public Square, Cleveland, Ohio. The hotel and location have a long history, dating back to 1812 when a tavern was first built there. During its lifetime, it was a Sheraton and Stouffer Renaissance and now, a Marriott Hotel. The 9 3/4 inch plate features HC in blue and gray with the same colors in the Mistic pattern border. A red brown stripe is on the rim. Syracuse China manufactured this plate in 1928, according to the datecode on the back. No chips or cracks but there is heavy utensil use in the well. It hung on the wall in my kitchen for a number of years and now it's time to rehome it.
