    Description

    Offered from a southern estate is a darling love box
    Heart shaped with a signed portrait of a lovely lady under glass on lid
    The frame of the lid is subtle X's and O's
    The sides have an upholstery look with diamond pattern stars in each joint and dots in the center
    Plain bottom
    Double hinges with stops to hold lid upright
    Interior has fitted lining of a padded embroidered flowered stripe
    No makers marks noted but lining not removed
    Box is 2 1/2" long 2 1/8" across and 1 1/8" high
    in very good condition with no damage to box
    a bit of patination
    Portrait, signed Rolle´ or Rulle´ has a few small nicks
    Lining on base has some discoloration
    Otherwise this is a stunning keepsake
