    Description

    A vintage metal relief plaque "Handel Und Industrie" (Trade & Industry) by Rudolph Mayer (1846-1916) in a
    large size, measuring about 17 7/8" by 10 3/4" and weighing almost 2 1/2 pounds. Signed "RM" lower right. This design has been said to be made by WMF (
    Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) in Germany. An example is in the German Historical Museum (
    Stiftung Deutsches Historisches Museum) in Berlin.
    Shows some wear and staining, we have not cleaned. Interesting stylish plaque.
