Exquisite Art Deco period Borzoi dog statue created by "The Jennings Brothers Manufacturing Co
." of Bridgeport Connecticut c.1920's, is an artistically rendered high quality sculpture of the Russian Wolfhound/Borzoi
The dramatic large breed has a narrow head, slender body on long legs and feathery full tail, this Borzoi stands approx., 6.5" high by 8" (ear to tail) constructed of cast metal with an aged bronze patina the finish is embellished with realistic details, features and amazing accuracy. Marked on the inner leg; "J.B." 2921 (Style No.). This rare Jennings Bros. Borzoi statue is in excellent vintage condition. There are some marks as shown in photos. This will be shipped Priority Mail w/insurance.
Jennings Brothers were an early 20th century maker of detailed cast figures of dogs and various animals, desk accessories and various decorative objects. Signed JB. Excellent, original condition. I have owned this piece for over 50 years.
