  • Condition: The cutter is in good overall condition. The cutter has a very nice and warm gray patina. The cutter appears to have been re-soldered at the handle and the design sometime in the past and is solid, all together and great looking. The cutter is slightly bent along the edges at the back of the design. It also has a couple of bent and sharp spots at the edge of the flat back. It shows a few small spots of rust and soiling. Be that as it may, the cutter is still great looking and would make a great addition to your collection.     Description:
    A very nice old and fairly large flat back tin cookie cutter. The cutter has a design of a fish or possibly a shark, depending on how you look at it. The cutter's back is flat having curved handle and a large central hole to allow for the air to escape. This is a very well-made cookie cutter that is beautiful, solid, and of substantial construction. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

    Uncertain but most likely late 1800s (19th century) to early 1900s (20th century).
    Origin:
    This flat-back cutter was acquired at an estate in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
    Size:
    The cutter measure ~6 3/8" long and is ~2 3/4" at its widest with the design being ~3/4" in height. The cutter weighs almost 2 ounces.
