for the silver crafters "Hukin & Heath".
This piece is date marked, London 1885.
The marks read:
Lion Passant (sterling)
Leopards Head (London)
Date letter K (1885-86)
Queens Head (Victoria)
The Silver Mounts are incredibly clean and straight forward
The stylish features include a triangular box spout
The bulbous crystal body is finished with a short foot
with radiating cuts forming a starburst with a ground cut base.
The lid is engraved with a armorial crest of an armored arm holding high a sheath of wheat
probably the crest of an old English family
Measurements:
6.5" Tall x approximately 5" across (looking directly down from the handle to the bulbous glass center)
The diameter of the base is 3.75" across.
Condition:
