CLASPING CONEFLOWER SEEDS
Rudbeckia amplexicaulis
Heirloom Summer bloomer, attractive to pollinators
Thrives in bright, sunny growing areas
Clasping Coneflower is a close cousin to Black-Eyed Susan, and is just as adaptable.
Bold and colorful blooms!
Note: This is the same wildflower that is also sometimes referred to by the botanical name Dracopis rudbeckia amplexicaulis.
Native to the midwest plains and South, this quick to bloom annual is perfect for kickstarting your pollinator garden. Easy to grow, it is adaptable but grows best in moist, well-drained areas. Sow in drifts and be rewarded with visiting butterflies and bees. The 2” flowers have drooping petals of gold surrounding prominent chocolate brown centers.
