    Description

    We are offering a rare iron model of a building  - U.S. FIDELITY GUARANTY CO. - with a removable lid so it can serve as a cigar humidor, has a clock set in the lid, and the front patio has an open holder for an inkwell (the inkwell is missing but an inkell that would fit can be found). This was obviously made to be used on an excecutive's desk and may have been given only to employees of this company. A small shield inside the lid is marked -MADE BY THE ART METAL WORKS NEWARK NJ.  A banner at base of inkwell opening proclaims WE WILL BOND YOU. Back side of building at base is marked -AGENTS IN EVERY CITY/ CAPITAL ,000,000. One end base marked  ACCIDENT-LIABILITY/ AUTOMOBILE-STEAM BOILER.  Other end base marked - JUDICIAL BONDS - CONTRACT BONDS/BURGLARY - PLATE  GLASS. Length 7 1/4"; front to back 6"(including patio for inkwell); height 6". Weighs approx. 5 pounds. Would make a perfect desk gift for a lawyer, insurance agent, or bank executive.
