former State Department family.
Lived abroad from 1953 – 1967:
in Afghanistan from 1953 to 1964
Iran for about a year, 1964-5
He went to Vietnam and the rest of the
family lived in Thailand for about a year
and a half, 1965-67. Post retirement travel
included: Indonesia, Bangladesh, Philippines,
Israel, several European countries, Turkey,
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and
in the 90s and early 00s to Burkina Faso
and Peru. Her grandmother was from Peru,
as some items show. Fascinating lives
behind these special objects.
Still shiny & useful, this pitcher has been
used for generations! Delicate detailing
at the base makes it special. Shipping
weight is 2 pounds.
