Art Nouveau Gazing Mermaid & Floral Bronze Calling Card Trinket Tray 319

Description

Gorgeous mermaid calling card tray believed to be from the 1900's, but I am not sure.   You can see her tail going down the middle of the piece in a three dimensional manner, but it not as dimensional as her upper body.  I believe the two sides have flowers/lily pads although I've seen them referred to as jellyfish (which I think is incorrect).  My research indicates this piece is bronze but it looks more gold in color to me--please review all of the pictures and the video that I took outside on a more shady day.
I am not sure this is the original color.
I purchased this from an antique store and it is possible that it was painted gold or this is how it was made.  Either way, it is very pretty.  There are obvious spots of wear to the gold on the top and bottom and some verdigris, but it is the best one I've seen in my searches in terms of appearance.  It is approx. 7.25" wide and 1.75" tall to the top of the mermaid's head.   Incised 319 on the bottom.  Please see all of the pictures as part of the "as is" description.
