    RARE LARGE PAIR FRENCH COVERED BRONZE& PORCELAIN SEVRES URNS, VASES
    Origin: French
    Period: 2nd Empire
    Date: c.1860
    "Clodion, Pair Of Covered Vases With Putti, Bronze 18th."
    After Claude Michel (1738-1814 in Paris) dit CLODION, Pair of covered vases, in finely chiseled bronze with a rich decoration, Figuring a round of putti.
    A vine like twisted Branch of grapes forms the handles on each side, the cap is removable and the Original tin liner is on the interior.
    in the shape of horns of plenty, Retained by a seated love forming the hold. Pedestal bases carved with acanthus leaves and gold patina. All around the urns are covered with magnificent paintings of putties and cupids on porcelain serves, 18th century France, Paris circa 1860. very heavy
    CONDITION IS VERY VERY GOOD FOR ITS AGE. JUST ONE HAIR LINE CRACK ON THE HAND AND A HAIRLINE CRACK ON THE PORCELAIN THAT IS NOT VISIBLE AT ALL, LAST PICTURE. IT HAS ORIGINAL GILT .
