Antique Pewter Charger Fidelis Ad Mortem Crest NYPD Huge Heavy

Up for sale is this huge antique pewter charger with a crest or coat of arms featuring a dog, powder horn and stars in a shield. It also features the motto Fidelis ad Mortem which means Faithful until Death. That is the New York Police Department motto, however I can’t relate the rest of the symbols to the NYPD, so I don’t believe it is directly associated with the department. It’s pewter, somewhat malleable and therefore easily damaged. Please view all 12 photos to help judge condition, there are many dings, nicks and some misshapen or warped areas. Measures about 18 1/2” diameter and weighs over 12 pounds. No makers marks visible.
