    Description

    You're bidding on an antique cast statue - 14 1/2" tall and 5 1/4" base diameter - white metal construction with applied gilt patination. Figure depicts a knight or nobleman - I'm guessing he's French based on the heraldic crest that looks kind of like a fleur de lys on his armor breastplate. He has one hand at his side near his sheathed sword, and the other raised in a gesture. I'm guessing he might be a clock-topper type statue that were often used to decorate 19th Century mantle clocks.
    Note some condition issue - there's some finger damage and visible cracking around the raised arm - see photos. Also some chipping to the finish around the pedestal top which leads me to believe that the gilding may not be the original finish. Some other scuff, wear and verge gris affecting the finish. SOLD AS IS AS FOUND.
