his
lovely antique French gilded repoussé metal ornament is oval shaped and crafted with the figure of a “luthier”, or stringed instrument maker, seated in his workshop with a bird and a caged bird visible on the left and a violin on the right. The border is designed in the Rococo style with stylized flowers and shells. There is an open rectangle on the back for hanging. This piece is in very good condition with a lovely aged patina. There are signs of wear on the surface, a few small dark spots and a few dents on the edges. This piece would be an excellent object to display on a wall and an excellent addition to your collection.
