In 19th and early 20th century Europe, these trays were often awarded as "trophies"  for various occasions~~ proudly displayed in cabinets, bookcases, on desks or dining areas~~nice rich oak oval tray with silver gallery rail~~beautiful decorative accessory with center silver medallion that could be engraved!

This item is in very good condition with normal signs of age and use which included a small burn mark to the underside area .
