Offered here is this nice Antique Derby Silver Plate Company Silver Plate Bottle, with Glass Stopper. The bottle is in good condition. I am unsure of the exact age of the bottle, but it most likely dates from between 1872-1898, when the Derby Company was taken over by International Silver. The detail of the bottle is exquisite, with a very elegant look and footed base. The bottle in its entirety, is very tarnished and needs to be polished. I am not certain that the glass stopper originally went with the bottle, as there is a little loop on the side of the bottle neck where I am sure that once was attached a chain with the original stopper. This glass stopper is a perfect fit, however, and was found with the bottle. The bottle stands 6.75" tall at the rim, 8.5" tall with the stopper in place, is 6.5" deep, is 2.75" in diameter at the base, 1.25" in diameter at the top, and 5" in diameter at the widest point. It is an exquisite, RARE Victorian silver plate bottle. A must have for any antique or Victorian collection.

nice Antique Derby Silver Plate Company Silver Plate Bottle, with Glass Stopper.
