Antique Silver Repousse Cocktail Shaker by The American Company Webster & Son New York.
What is
Repousse work on the surface of the shaker: :
Very popular workmanship used for silver ware in the late 19th. c and early 20th c.
The metal is ornamented from the reverse side to create the raised relief design and embossing to sink the metal. It has a very exquisite handcrafted beautiful quality . Check photos # 1, # 2.
Dimensions:
Measures 7 3/4 " tall ( picture # 11), by 6 1/2" from spout to handle (picture # 10 ).  The original cover with cork measures 3" in diameter ( pictures # 5)  , by 1 1/2"  high. The bottom measures 2 1/3 " in diameter, please check picture # 9.  The original cork stopper measures 1" in diameter  by 1 1/4" long. Please check picture # 4.
The outer of the shaker:
Repousse Silver plate with Denmark Village Scenes on both sides of the shaker and flowers birds antique scroll patterns all over the shaker.
The inside of the shaker is clean. It is rarely used.
Hallmarks:
Stamped
PAT. D'DEC 28 1915 on the bottom center of the shaker along with W & Son on the upper part,  and 3 other marks at the lower part.  Please check pictures # 9 l
ooks like star, lion fleur de lis.
Condition:
Great item in mint condition. It retains the original cover cork and cork stopper.
All original very miner wear on the exterior through age and used.
