Antique Cast Iron (Or Brass?) "Blanket Horse" with Base - Door Stop?

Description

Antique horse figure.  Identified as cast iron when I acquired it, although it looks to me like it might be made of brass.  Figure is unusual because the horse is wearing a blanket on its back rather than a saddle, which is much more commonly seen on these figures.  Oval-shaped base is about 3.5" X 8", and is 7.5" to the top of the horse's ears.  Small steel plate on underside of figure.  Plate is becoming slightly loose and bent.  There are two screw holes on the underside of the base, so this figure may have been part of a large scene at one time.  No chips, dents, or other damage anywhere, although this figure could probably use a good cleaning.  No manufacturer is identified anywhere
