    This is an antique cast brass corner mounted shell shaped soap dish made circa 1900. This was originally nickel plated, however most of the nickel plating has deteriorated. Some is still visible on the underside. This could be re-plated in nickel or chrome. This type of soap dish was commonly used on porcelain enamel corner bathroom sinks, mounted on the backsplash above the faucets.
