Impressive authentic humidor box made by HEINTZ, heavy bronze with sterling
silver overlay design on lid, in the mission / arts & crafts style of the period (c.1912). This handsome box originally housed a cedar wood removable lining and a perforated metal plate that slides in the underside of the lid.  In more recent times, a blue felt lining has been placed inside which is easily removed to reveal the original interior metal surface.
Appropriate patina and light general wear: no attempt has been made to polish any surface. The bottom of the box shows the Heintz logo, 4078-B, Sterling on Bronze, Pat. Aug 27 12.
