Description
Antique silver plated toothpick holder from "The Vanderbilt Hotel" in New York made by Gorham Elmwood Plate around 1911 as hallmarks indicate. This piece is in very good condition showing now wear through anywhere and I can see very faintly the word STERLING looks like it was stamped and rubbed off. This could be a factory mishap or my eyes playing tricks on me but under 4x magnification just below the 02171, it looks like a very faint sterling stamp. It was tested and tests as silver plate. Nice little piece of history that came from my family's estate and I have seen if for at least the last 40yrs when my mother acquired it. Toothpice holder measures approximately 3.25" Tall x 2" wide. This listing is AS-IS and as described.
