After Enrique Molins Balleste (Spanish/Worked in France 1893 - 1958) French Art Nouveau Spelter Sculpture on Marble Base.This French Art Nouveau spelter sculpture features a gorgeous barefoot ballerina holding a dove in her right hand. Part of her scarf, supporting her left arm, holds the entire sculpture in place on an orange-veined black marble base. Her big smile and graceful body make for a charming combination. Height: 9 in. Width: 14 in. Depth: 4.25 in.
This artist was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1893. He moved to Paris and is known for his lighting figural work. He was also a wood sculptor. He signed his work "Molins", "Balleste" or "BAL" or "GUAL" which was part of his wife's name "Concepcion Gual-Cuberes".
