51 1951 Cadillac manual transmission column shifter handle 3 on the tree stick

Description

This listing is for an original shifter handle from a 1951 Cadillac with manual transmission.   I know 1952 was the last year that Cadillac offered a stick shift, but I don't know if this would fit into a '52 model, I would think though that this would fit into a 1950 since they are so similar to '51, not sure about 1948 or 1949, no guarantees.   The chrome is very nice for used, showing only minor wear, the knob is polished brass, has an odd spot right on the tip, but looks like it was there since new.   Looks like the shaft was broken off at one time and re-welded back together, see closeup pics.   Includes pin and collar as shown.    This has to be incredibly hard to find, since manual trans Cadillacs were really rare at this point, so if you need one, don't miss out.
