This strip is in
Scott
catalogue order as shown.
Ethel Kessler
designed the
27c
self-adhesives and they were printed by
Ashton-Potter (USA) Ltd.
The stamps feature bright illustrations of cut fruit on a pastel rainbow background.
Twenty Seven
cents met the USPS Postcard rate from May 2008 until May 2009. The 1 year rate period was relatively brief. At the time of printing these were the only 27c stamps ever issued by the USPS.
The se-tenant strips have been carefully separated from
4257a
sheets of 20 and remain on their original backing paper.
