This is an AUGUST 1949 issue of CHICAGO TENNIS NEWS (see picture), an 8-page newsletter published by the Chicago Tennis Association. It contains a wide variety of articles--from the National Clay Court Championships and the Metropolitan Junior Tennis Championships to interclub matches and a tournament calendar. There are several black and white advertisements, too, including Dunlop and Spalding tennis balls and Wilson and Davis rackets. This newsletter is clean and intact, exhibiting light wear and creasing from handling and storage over the past 68 years. There is no handwriting in the newsletter, but the back page contains a mailing address and 1-cent stamp. It would make a nice addition to your own collection, or it would make a wonderful gift for that tennis enthusiast, Chicago historian, or vintage publication collector in your life! Postage is .00. And, of course I'll combine postage on multiple purchases. Sorry, NO international shipping. Be sure to check the other items in my eBay store, too!
