    Description

1920s Austrian gilded bronze vase with relief depiction of a girl feeding a bird with seeds that she holds in her apron. The vase is not signed, but it is definitely made by Peter Tereszczuk (1875-1963) who was an Austrian-Ukrainian sculptor known for his bronze Art Nouveau figurines. Born in 1875 in Wybudow, Ukraine, he studied at the school of Arts and Crafts in Vienna under Hermann Klotz, and the majority of his work was made between 1895 and 1925 in Vienna. Beautifully made, wonderful modeling, wear to gilding and age marks on the bottom, overall in great condition. Height 4 3/4 inches (12 cm).
